What a MagSafe wallet is
Every iPhone from the iPhone 12 onward has a ring of magnets built into the back, the MagSafe system, that a compatible accessory can snap onto. A MagSafe wallet is a slim card holder with a matching magnet array that clicks into place on the back of the device, or onto a MagSafe case, and holds two or three cards against it. The idea is to carry your phone and your essential cards as one object, so you can leave a full wallet behind.
Because it clings by magnet rather than a clip or a pocket, the whole experience rises or falls on magnet strength. A strong wallet keeps its attachment when you pull the phone from a tight pocket; a weak one slides off and leaves your cards behind. That single quality is what separates a MagSafe wallet worth buying from one that will frustrate you within a week.
Will a MagSafe wallet demagnetize my cards or block charging?
No on both counts, with one caveat. The magnets in a MagSafe wallet will not wipe the chip or the magnetic stripe on a modern credit or debit card, and they will not harm the device. Hotel key cards and older stripe-only cards are the rare exception, so keep those out of a magnetic wallet to be safe.
