How each device connects and signs

The two work in different ways day to day. The Tangem is an NFC card: you tap it against your phone to sign a transaction, with no cable, no battery and nothing to charge, and you verify the details on the phone app. The Ledger Nano X is a physical device with an on-device display and physical buttons that connects by a USB cable or Bluetooth, so it signs and shows each transaction on its own screen, independent of the phone app. That on-device display is Ledger's security edge, since the seedless Tangem card relies on the phone app to show what you are signing. Security and backup

Both use certified secure elements, and the private key is generated inside the chip on the card or device and never leaves it. The big difference is backup.
